Bio
Anthea Jaskirpal Kaur is a devotional singer/songwriter and musician hailing from Sydney, Australia. Her love of kirtan was sparked years ago by Bhagavan Das & Krishna Das and their powerful Sanskrit mantras. Anthea is also an IKYTA certified kundalini yoga instructor and through this lineage she was introduced to the beautiful Sikh mantras and the divine voices of Snatam Kaur & Nirinjan Kaur. Her music is a mix of Sikh and Sanskrit chants inspired by these beautiful artists and Anthea’s own devotional practice.
Anthea is featured on RAMA Records Volume 1 with her electronic mantra collaboration with DJ Akal Dub, as well as Sushmuna by Gurushabad Singh and Divine Devotion by Krishna’s Kirtan. She is currently working on her debut mantra album.
Anthea and her band of talented singers and musicians lead concerts and retreats locally in Los Angeles, CA and across the country.
